Our History
Three decades, one trajectory.
Founded in Yangon
May Modern Construction established as a specialist steel and bridge contractor in Yangon, starting with a team of 12 engineers and a single fabrication workshop.
Railway Division Launched
First major railway bridge contract with Myanmar Railways, marking our expansion into national rail infrastructure and a relationship with the state railway operator that continues today.
International Partnerships
First joint venture with Hazama Ando Corporation and P.S. Mitsubishi of Japan on the Gyaing-Kawkareik Bridge, bringing ISO standards and advanced engineering techniques to Myanmar.
Group Expansion
May Modern Group formed, integrating May Modern Steel Construction and Gold Steel Industries into Myanmar's first fully vertically integrated bridge construction group.
Full Portfolio Milestone
14 major bridge structures completed to date, alongside 43 total projects spanning rail, road, marine, and industrial infrastructure across Myanmar.
